Often in this world we are witnessing life in the making. Our televisions, phones, newspapers and out technical devices are forever giving us information. We are constantly having protests to change something. We because of untrust are passing each other on the street afraid to look at one another. An innocent hi! is not even welcome by some.

Fifty or more years up the road (maybe less) we are asking ourselves what happened to our lives. Life waits on no one. But we often live it with the assumption that we will be here forever. Are you driving your vehicle or is your life driving you? How many opportunities have you given up looking for something different? How much say do you have about what happens in your life? None of us will be here forever. While you are waiting for your life to live you, live your life. You won’t be here forever.

We have little child hiding in us who has not been able to experience his life because he is forever being told to stay out of the forest.

We are forever staying locked out of adventure in our lives because the violence in life with distrust around our neighbors keep us out of the forest.

All of these old trees won’t let us get into the forest so we can experience life and see the ones growing

All through life most of us have a little undeveloped child in us. This child stays locked inside a bottle being protected by well meaning parents. Act your age they shout out. Don’t go out there a bad people out there. I don’t want you to get hurt. This child is kept in the bottle being protected as he grows. He just wants to roll around in the grass and meet his new environment. This child goes through life. Upon getting older and closer to the end this child has never had the chance to know himself. He retires from work only getting lonely because he hasn’t learned how to reach out, play and enjoy his life. Living is close to ending and he hasn’t even began. No one knows what’s ahead. Live your life while still able. Your life is still here. Enjoy it. Find out who you are.

We are forever shifting big important titles around in this world. Many jobs are not about work but about titles. Many jobs are given low status or none at all. Our bank account is more important to some than the job. But now we don’t want a job but a high powered career. “Living For The City” is what most of us want. We don’t want the work of life. But we want the living. We want everything to be handed down to us. And some of us look down on the person working for a living. The jobs that really can make a difference we don’t want to accept responsibility for. Every job has a title.

A laugh is no longer a laugh in our Country. It used to be that one could get the tickle bug and not stop laughing. Today laughter has turned into ridiculing and has lost its fun. It is easy for some of us to make a joke or laugh at others but when the shoe gets puts on his foot it no longer seems funny. We can look at one another in an innocent way and some will call it insulting. Children can no longer laugh and have fun without concerned adults breaking it up. Walk over to a neighbor’s house and he might shoot you. People cannot take a stroll or jog down a path and feel safe. With all of our freedom that we own today. We don’t feel free to just be who we are.

Now we are talking about having the Bible put back in the school system. And some of us would rather live in a war zone or locked up in a jail called school rather than try to live at peace with one another. Our children no longer make friends but enemies in school. Put some more wiggle worms in your soup. They may make you laugh.

This Land Is Your Land (our). But we have taken friendly “tear jerking laughter out. We can’t look at each other in peace. The only laughter we seem to experience today is insulting laughter. We have turned serious things into unfunny jokes. This land is our land. We should be able to live in it with peace.

Our United States of America is full of opportunities floating over a big ocean. Whenever we seem to move forward the sun goes down. Our Presidents seem to be lost. And “we the people” are lost following them. We seem to be in a war zone and our fighting makes our new possibilities go unnoticed. We forever see the bad and the good things in our world get blocked out. So many improvements seem to happen in our favor over-looking our social skills. Look at one another in a wrong way and it starts a gun battle. Get out with the old and on with the new. We need to see some of our new improvements.
