THEN and Now
Today we put emphasis on our equal rights. They are still unequal. Not only in our governmental issues. But black people even though sometimes hidden, expect ourselves to be unable to walk up a ladder because we have been told for so long that it couldn’t be done. And when we know we are capable we choose to stay low or feel like we are deserting our heritage. We have so many gifted black people choosing to use their gifts in distrustful ways. And many white people have been brainwashed for so long that they are superior that they don’t try to meet their true potential. Sometimes we have to go down in order to move up.
We all walk around in our minds thinking we have reached the mark but still have so much work to do. Many high society jobs are just show and tell jobs. While many of our lower scaled positions are full of opportunity and accomplishment. Do we have equal rights the way we over or under excel our own potential.
Our government is so busy equaling our rights with other countries and our own equal rights are not observed. We have so many poor people in our states looking rich and so many people who don’t broadcast their wealth looking poor and less capable of success. Equality needs to be experienced working with our true experiences.
